Landpartie Dagobertshausen - Gaja meets Keller
The Landpartie at Hofgut Dagobertshausen near Marburg, which is popular with star chefs and gourmet lovers, celebrated its tenth anniversary this summer with numerous top chefs. They served guests a variety of star-quality dishes, accompanied by excellent wines and good music. This is where the "who's who" of the wine and culinary industry comes together.
On a glorious summer's day, nothing was left to be desired. Grilled celeriac in Jerusalem artichoke essence with miso, shallot and radish at TV chef Frank Rosin's stand, Dagobertshäuser potato mash with brown nut butter and AKI caviar at Christian Rach 's and conchiglie alle vongole with Conny's Curry Champion and sea asparagus by Cornelia Poletto were just some of the culinary delights on offer. For most of the professional chefs, it was not their first time at the popular cooking event. "The Landpartie is a highlight every year. Where else do you have the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry colleagues in such a great atmosphere," says Nelson Müller, who not only rocked the plates, but also the stage with his Allstars band. Kang Dai Song, head chef of the MIZU restaurant, which opened in March and is also part of the Villa Vita Group, also took part for the first time this year. He conjured up flamed black tiger prawns with kuromasa sauce and chili-yuzu chutney for the visitors and provided a colorful sea of sushi the evening before.
In an exuberant atmosphere, visitors could feast their way from stand to stand through the many culinary delicacies and taste numerous national and international wines, including very well-known ones such as those of Rheinhessen star Klaus Peter Keller, who presented three vintages of his top wine Westhofener Morstein in white and red together with Angelo Gaja's daughter Gaia Gaja in an exciting masterclass the evening before.
From Italy, the Bolzano winery and the renowned Brancaia winery from Tuscany were among those present. Weingut am Nil, which also belongs to Villa Vita, also poured out its excellent Pinot Noirs again this year.
It was my first time and I was thrilled by the casual yet elegant atmosphere at the Hofgut. The Landpartie really is a must for anyone who appreciates good food, wines and good conversation with like-minded people. Michael Hamann, Managing Director of Villa Vita Marburg, was also visibly enthusiastic: "We are very proud of what has been created in Dagobertshausen over the past 10 years. The most important culinary event in Germany." The enthusiasm of the visitors was palpable, with delicious food and happy faces everywhere.
The evening before, two top winemakers, Gaia Gaja and Klaus Peter Keller, hosted a top-class wine tasting in a small, select circle. Morstein meets Barbaresco and Barolo. When two such illustrious names come together, it promises maximum enjoyment. And so it was.
The report on Landpartie Dagobertshausen 2025 will follow shortly.
